We waked up at 8h, we packed our things and at 10 we checked out. We ate our breakfast in hostel’s pub and then we went to visit the city for last time cause we had 2 hours before go to the airport.
Hoy, hace sol y, ayer, llovía. ADV
Today, it’s sunny and yesterday, it was raining. Sucks.
But it was a good day to take some pictures. We walked through the city center and bought some souvenirs.
There’s not much to tell… we drank a very big cappuccino in a very cute café, very very big… but it was delicious.
Then we went back to hostel to our luggage and after that we took the ultra-tech bus to the airport.
The airport is full of chic restaurants and we ate in one of this. Then we went to the plane!
Here goes the bad thing in our trip, Ryanair is the worst airline, I had to pay 35pounds (42€) or 50€ because they say mi suitecase was “too big” (mi suitcase has the correct measures) when there were no problems in Barcelona… U_U
JOSMAR! Sí, sí, Josmar… RA-RA-RAGATÁ!!!
And we have to say that the main entertainer (freak or how you want to call it) of our weekend has been… chan chaaaan… JOSMAR (a freak character in Spain) RA-RA-RAGATÁ!
And that’s all, this has been our weekend in Edinburgh!!
Dios!
It’s been too hard to wake up this morning at 8.30h… but we had to. We ate breakfast in the hostel’s pub, it’s very nice! It has lots of sofas!
Llueve y hace mucho viento… y rasquins… pero sobrevivimos, of course.
Then we decide to go to the castle. It’s raining, it’s very windy and cold! But we survive, of course!
On our way to the castle we see a lot of the city, it’s beautiful, the architecture is nice. It’s a sad city, always cloudy or raining, but I like it a lot.
Argh!
Mi camera got a little wet but it seems it’s ok. It’s stressing!! All is beautiful and I have to take pictures and it’s raining and…. Arrrrgh!!
Oh!
Oh! In our way to the castle we saw a man playing the bagpipe and it was great!!
We arrive to the castle (14pounds), it’s amazing! Especially the views of the city, and now I’m here with Joan who can take pictures of me (not like in Norway that I was alone) in the city :_D
Then we went walking to a very nice cathedral, St Gile’s Cathedral. It’s amazing inside, gothic style. I’ve tried to take some picture but a woman started to shout we had to pay 2 pounds if we wanted to take pictures…..
Finally we arrived to the hostel’s st and decided we want to eat something so we went to a pub a girl recommended us in www.couchsurfing.com, “Jeckill&Hyde”. It’s beautiful and the music is good. Food is great too, and… you know where the bathrooms are? Hidden behind book shelves…

After eating we went to find another pub this girl in couchsurfing recommended us: “The Black Rose”, in Rose St, so this night we already know where we have to go.
We wanted to see some monuments in the hill in front of the castle and we got lost again… we walked a lot, but thanks to this we saw the parliament, a very big neoclassic building.
When we thought we didn’t find the way to the monuments… we saw it, in front of us…
From the top we could see another part of Edinburgh and the sea, nice. We had to stand the rain and the wind and after that we went back to the hostel to rest for a while… Siesta time, fuck yeah!
It’s been hard for us to wake up after siesta, but when we were ready we made our dinner (bought in the supermarket).
After dinning we want to explore Scottish night and it was nice! Good prices, good people. We went to “Black Rose” pub, where the music was rock, metal, etc…
Then we improvised and finally we went to hostel’s pub where we found a nice and drunk Scottish couple. But the most important thing, they were very kind, funny and pay some mixed drinks (2,5pounds, 3€ aprox) for us! It’s been a good and funny night.
And that’s all folks!! Now we go to sleep, we have lots of things to do tomorrow!
We could say our trip begins in The airport before boarding. While we were waiting to the plane, in front of us was a group of three people screaming and saying silly things. Suddenly, one of the girls asks us and another girl (from Canada)to take a picture with them. The thing is one of that girls was afraid to fly and that’s why she was so hysteric…
In the plane we sit with Tylor, the canadian girl. She’s very kind and explain us where we have to go in Edinburgh and recommend us interesting things to see and do.
We land at 23.30pm time in Edinburgh (-1 here) and thanks to Tylor we quikly find the bus to go to the city. The bus was super modern, with wi-fi, security cameras… Ultra-tech bus!
When we arrive to Edinburgh, as always, we get lost while we try to find the hostel and we have to ask somebody. It’s very hard to understand their accent and they speak very quickly! But I like how it sounds : )
We find the hostel at last and leave al the things in the room. Then we go to take a walk around the hostel. It’s cold, but we expected the weather were colder.
El hostel / The hostel
Pues…sorprende.. xD
We freaked out when we saw a shop with the face of Diana of Wales as main image. Imagine, at night, all dark and a light at the end… with Diana’s face… Surprising lol.
There are a lot of drunk people screaming in the streets and it reminds me to Dublín, especially the girls, at night, almost naked and they aren’t cold…:S
So, that’s all, we were walking for a while and then…we went to sleep!
by the way... sorry for my English, I've tried to do my best! :P
