Dios! Que palazo cuando ha sonado el despertador! A las 8.30h en pie y a desayunar al bar del hostel. Es super bonito! Sofás y más sofás…
It’s been too hard to wake up this morning at 8.30h… but we had to. We ate breakfast in the hostel’s pub, it’s very nice! It has lots of sofas!
Al terminar de desayunar decidimos ir al castillo. Llueve y hace mucho viento… y rasquins… pero sobrevivimos, of course.
Then we decide to go to the castle. It’s raining, it’s very windy and cold! But we survive, of course!
De camino al castillo vemos gran parte de la ciudad, es preciosa, la arquitectura de los edificios es una pasada, aunque es una ciudad muy gris, pero tiene su encanto.
On our way to the castle we see a lot of the city, it’s beautiful, the architecture is nice. It’s a sad city, always cloudy or raining, but I like it a lot.
Mi reflex se ha mojado un poquito pero parece que vive. Es que no pot ser, es todo muy bonito y tengo que hacer fotos y llueve! Argh!
Mi camera got a little wet but it seems it’s ok. It’s stressing!! All is beautiful and I have to take pictures and it’s raining and…. Arrrrgh!!
Oh! Por el camino nos encontramos a un hombre tocando la gaita en la calle y sonaba geniaaal!!
Oh! In our way to the castle we saw a man playing the bagpipe and it was great!!
Llegamos al castillo (14 libras), es una pasada! Sobretodo las vistas de la ciudad, y ahora, como tengo al Joan que me hace fotos (no como en Noruega), puedo salir medio mona en algunas! :_D
We arrive to the castle (14pounds), it’s amazing! Especially the views of the city, and now I’m here with Joan who can take pictures of me (not like in Norway that I was alone) in the city :_D
Después hemos ido paseando hasta que hemos visto una catedral muy chula, St Gile’s Catedral. Por dentro era preciosa, de estilo gótico. He intentado hacer alguna foto, pero ha salido una mujer diciendo que se tenían que pagar 2 libras por hacer fotos… claaaaaro…. Esta tia está flipá!
Then we went walking to a very nice cathedral, St Gile’s Cathedral. It’s amazing inside, gothic style. I’ve tried to take some picture but a woman started to shout we had to pay 2 pounds if we wanted to take pictures…..
Y nada, hemos acabado en la calle del hostel y decidimos que tenemos hambre, así que vamos a un pub que nos recomendó una chica por www.couchsurfing.com, “Jeckill&Hyde”. Es muy bonito y además ponen buena música. Hemos comido genial y, punto curioso, ¿sabéis dónde estaban los baños? Escondidos detrás de los estantes de libros…
Finally we arrived to the hostel’s st and decided we want to eat something so we went to a pub a girl recommended us in www.couchsurfing.com, “Jeckill&Hyde”. It’s beautiful and the music is good. Food is great too, and… you know where the bathrooms are? Hidden behind book shelves…

Después de comer hemos ido en busca de un pub que nos recomendaron: “The Black Rose”, en Rose St, así para esta noche ya lo tenemos localizado.
After eating we went to find another pub this girl in couchsurfing recommended us: “The Black Rose”, in Rose St, so this night we already know where we have to go.
Queríamos ir a ver unos monumentos en la colina que hay en frente del castillo y la hemos liao…hemos dado una vuelta un poco larga…Peeero… la parte buena es que hemos visto el parlamento “sin querer”, un pedazo de edificio neoclásico.
We wanted to see some monuments in the hill in front of the castle and we got lost again… we walked a lot, but thanks to this we saw the parliament, a very big neoclassic building.
Hemos dado media vuelta y cuándo ya pensábamos que no íbamos a encontrar el camino que sube hacia allí… lo hemos visto, delante de nuestras narices…
When we thought we didn’t find the way to the monuments… we saw it, in front of us…
Desde arriba se veía la otra parte de Edimburgo, que da al mar, muy bonito. Y después de estar allí dando vueltas y aguantando la lluvia, hemos vuelto al hostel a descansar un rato, siesta time fuck yeah!
From the top we could see another part of Edinburgh and the sea, nice. We had to stand the rain and the wind and after that we went back to the hostel to rest for a while… Siesta time, fuck yeah!
Nos ha costado lo suyo levantarnos después de la siesta, pero hemos hecho el esfuerzo. Una vez preparados, hemos ido a hacernos la cena (lo que habíamos comprado en el super).
It’s been hard for us to wake up after siesta, but when we were ready we made our dinner (bought in the supermarket).
Después de cenar nos ha dado por explorar la noche escocesa, la verdad es que ha sorprendido, buenos precios y ambiente. Hemos ido a un pub llamado “The Black Rose”, un local dónde básicamente había música rock, metal, etc…
After dinning we want to explore Scottish night and it was nice! Good prices, good people. We went to “Black Rose” pub, where the music was rock, metal, etc…
Luego nos ha dado por improvisar y hemos acabado en el bar del hostel donde nos encontramos con una pareja de escoceses muy majos, y borrachos… pero lo más importante es que eran muy majos y nos han invitado a un cubata a cada uno. Los cubatas están a 2,5 libras (unos 3€ aprox).Ha sido una buena noche, divertida. Hemos pasado un buen rato entre risas.
Then we improvised and finally we went to hostel’s pub where we found a nice and drunk Scottish couple. But the most important thing, they were very kind, funny and pay some mixed drinks (2,5pounds, 3€ aprox) for us! It’s been a good and funny night.
En fin, nos vamos a dormir que mañana aún hay cosas por hacer!
And that’s all folks!! Now we go to sleep, we have lots of things to do tomorrow!
